Mr. Ciavarra advises businesses on avoiding, and when necessary, successfully litigating, business disputes. His clients include national financial institutions and regional high technology companies. He has tried numerous cases in federal and state courts throughout New England. His recent trials have included a copyright infringement action on behalf of a software client, an action to enjoin unlawful competition and protection of trade secrets, defending a suit by the acquirer of a subsidiary of our client alleging breach of contract and a claim of securities fraud against our client. He was recently recognized as one of the top intellectual property attorneys in Massachusetts. Mr. Ciavarra also represents numerous professionals and firms in the securities industry before the NASD and state regulatory authorities.

Mr. Ciavarra was selected as a 2008 “Good Guys” honoree by the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus. The award recognizes men who demonstrate an ongoing commitment and partnership in achieving equality for women.
