Peter J. Harrington
Partner

Mr. Harrington’s practice is focused on representing and advising colleges, universities, and secondary schools, as well as academic medical centers, research institutions and non-profit educational, scientific, health care, cultural and civic organizations. He advises and represents such clients on a broad range of issues including employment matters, liability and risk management issues, academic affiliations, student-related issues and disciplinary matters, corporate governance and ethics, conflicts of interest, computer networks and information technology, information privacy and security, records retention and management, copyright and fair use, academic publishing, technology licensing, sponsored research issues, contracts and business transactions, affiliated entity issues, institutional compliance programs, regulatory issues, policy development, institutional and governmental audits and investigations, and internal misconduct and noncompliance proceedings. Mr. Harrington previously held senior legal and administrative positions at Boston University, The University of Vermont, and Harvard Medical School, and teaches higher education law at Boston College Law School.
