Laura Plourde spoke at the Woostapreneurs Forum on May 10, 2017. The conference was designed for existing business owners, budding entrepreneurs, veteran entrepreneurs, millennial entrepreneurs, women-owned businesses, and other under-served entrepreneurs in search of business help.
Laura spoke about the importance of forming an entity where your business liabilities are separate from your personal assets, shareholders agreement between the owners governing items like voting and what happens in a change of circumstances, maintaining your business affairs separate from personal affairs, mapping out how you will brand your business, and due-diligence when starting or acquiring a business. Laura mentioned that, “as your business grows, your legal team can help with needed commercial contracts with vendors, employees etc.”
