American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL) Recognizes Bob Cox with Top National Honor
Bob Cox, Jr., Managing Partner, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL). This prestigious honor is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves with “high standards of practice and substantial contributions to the field of environmental law,” according to ACOEL.
Mr. Cox is one of 25 new Fellows to be elected by their peers this year for membership in the College as the country’s leading environmental attorneys. Since its inception, only 23 environmental lawyers in total have been elected to the College in Massachusetts.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Cox has counseled and advocated for clients facing complex, technically challenging environmental and enforcement actions. He concentrates his practice on issues surrounding clean air and water legislation, as well as solid and hazardous waste regulations. His client base includes land/building owners, developers, businesses, manufacturers, public utilities and municipal authorities.
“I am deeply honored to be chosen as an ACOEL Fellow, which is the highest form of recognition that an environmental lawyer can achieve,” said Mr. Cox.
Mr. Cox is also singled out for his expertise in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business; The Best Lawyers in America, and Massachusetts Super Lawyers, where he has been chosen for inclusion since 2004.
Mr. Cox chairs the Environmental Business Council of New England and the Mayor’s Brownfields Task Force, City of Worcester, among numerous community leadership and volunteer roles.
