Bob Cox interviewed in Worcester Business Journal’s “New Worcester chamber chairman envisions 18-hour downtown”
As the incoming Chairman of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bowditch Managing Partner Bob Cox spoke with the Worcester Business Journal about his new role and what he envisions for the Chamber during his two year tenure. At the top of the list will be working with economic development officials and Chamber staff to capitalize on Worcester economic development projects.
In addition to more housing, Cox said, creating a district with a variety of entertainment options will be important to creating a well-rounded neighborhood. Downtown already has several amenities offering entertainment, he said, including the Hanover Theatre, the ArtsWorcester gallery in the Printers Building, and the expansion of the Palladium to include an outdoor stage.
Cox said his new role as chamber chairman dovetails well with his full-time job at Bowditch, which also is seeking to revitalize Worcester by encouraging community, business and education projects.
