Julie O’Neill Elected Chairperson of United Way of Tri-County
Julie O’Neill has been named Chairperson of United Way of Tri-County. At Bowditch, Julie focuses her practice on business, corporate and securities law, and counseling individuals and entities at all stages of the corporate life cycle on a wide variety of sophisticated transactions in the U.S., Canada, and abroad. She has extensive expertise representing start-up businesses, including helping entrepreneurs in selecting the right legal structures for their businesses, securing debt and equity financing and handling ongoing operational matters. In addition, Julie represents multiple family offices, wealth managers, and high net worth individuals and families with planning, investing and structuring matters.
The United Way of Tri-County is one of roughly 1300 locally operated and controlled United Way organizations in the country. The United Way of Tri-County provides services to thousands of people across 34 communities throughout Norfolk, Middlesex, and Worcester counties. Its mission is to “increase[s] the organized capacity of people to care for one another.” Among other services, the United Way of Tri-County serves hot meals to anyone in need at its Pearl Street Café in Framingham and Wheat Community Cupboard & Café In Clinton, distributes thousands of holiday meals to families in needs every year, and provides assistance, support, and lifesaving services to thousands each year through its Call2Talk program, the mental health helpline of Mass2-1-1.
