Bob Young Quoted in Worcester Telegram’s “COVID-19 vaccination: Some of Worcester’s biggest employers will mandate workers get a jab”
As more and more workplaces welcome employees back to the office, companies are requiring employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. In some instances, employees could get fired if they don’t comply. The Worcester Telegram spoke with Bob Young about what companies are legally allowed to do.
Companies can also ask employees for proof of vaccination, according to Young, but it’s limited to a “yes” or “no” question. Anything beyond, like asking an employee why they didn’t get vaccinated, can morph into an impermissible medical inquiry.
