Press Release: Attorneys Mark Borenstein and Anthony Dragga Elected to Partner

Worcester, Framingham and Boston, MA – January 5, 2023 – Mark Borenstein and Anthony Dragga, considered two of the nation’s top young lawyers, were both elected to partner at Bowditch.

Borenstein, a top-rated land use and zoning attorney, has broad commercial real estate experience, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, development and permitting. He regularly represents property owners and developers before municipal boards and commissions to obtain necessary permitting and licensing. He also assists businesses with entity formation, transactions and regulatory compliance, and has developed a niche practice representing craft breweries, wineries and distilleries.

A lifelong Worcester resident, he is extremely involved in the local community, serving as a trustee of the Worcester Historical Museum, an officer and director of Worcester Walls (formerly POW! WOW! Worcester), a corporator of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, and is a former director of the Worcester Jewish Community Center.

Named to the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch list for Land Use and Zoning Law & Real Estate Law in 2022 and 2023, Borenstein also was named as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2019 to 2022. In 2022, he received a Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Excellence in the Law award for Up & Coming Lawyers.

Borenstein earned his law degree from Western New England University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Dragga is a highly regarded attorney in Bowditch’s Estate, Financial & Tax Planning practice area, where he helps clients prepare estate plans and administer trusts and estates. He also develops personalized plans to reduce or eliminate estate, gift, and income taxes.

A former teacher and administrator at Nativity Preparatory School of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Dragga considers his teaching background an enormous asset in his law practice. His clients often praise his listening skills, patience, and analytical abilities.

A member of the executive committee of the Central Massachusetts Estate and Business Planning Council, Dragga is also on the board of directors of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, and ArtsWorcester, and is a former director of the St. Camillus Health Center. He lives in Uxbridge, MA.

He was named to the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, for the field of Trusts and Estates in 2022 and 2023. He also made Community Legal Aid’s 2020 Pro Bono Honor Roll.

Dragga graduated from Boston College Law School and has a master’s in taxation from Boston University School of Law. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College, where he also received a master’s degree in higher education administration.
