Mark Borenstein Quoted in Worcester Telegram’s “City planning conditionally approves 8-story mixed-use complex near Polar Park”
A preliminary site plan for an eight-story, mixed-use apartment complex steps away from Worcester’s Polar Park was conditionally approved by the Planning Board on February 1. The project includes a seven-story parking garage, which Board members and members of the City’s Planning Department voiced concerns about, indicating they would like to see opportunities to explore ground level retail in the garage’s design. Mark Borenstein, who represents the developers, addressed these concerns at the meeting, stating:
“The applicant is going to evaluate the parking garage. As part of the refinement of plans, we’re going to kick the tires on this and see what can be done, in terms of making a more exciting parking garage.”
