Press Release: Bowditch’s Managing Partner John Shoro Named Go To Taxation Lawyer
Boston, Framingham, and Worcester, MA – May 6, 2024 – John F. Shoro, managing partner at Bowditch & Dewey LLP, has been named a Go To Taxation Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
This is the latest in a long list of accolades for Shoro, who is the immediate past leader of Bowditch’s Estate, Financial, & Tax Planning practice. Best Lawyers in America© honored him as “Lawyer of the Year” in 2020, 2022, and 2024 for his work in trust and estates, and the publication has also cited his stellar work in elder and tax law. Massachusetts Super Lawyers, meanwhile, has included him in its directory every year since 2004 for his estate planning and probate work.
Shoro helps business owners, professionals, and executives with sophisticated tax and planning needs. Working with clients in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida, he often serves as a personal representative and trustee for his trust and estate clients. He interacts with individual beneficiaries and handles investments and complex tax issues. He also handles tax matters related to business sales, acquisition, and reorganization.
A fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, he is a past chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s tax section council. He also has served as president of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County.
A graduate of Boston College, Shoro earned his law degree as well as a Master of Laws in taxation from Boston University.
