Eileen Lee Breger Presented “Estate Planning and Special Needs Trusts” for The Carroll Center for the Blind

Estate planning is one of the most important processes you can complete to ensure your family’s financial security after your passing. Special needs trusts are one component of an estate plan that allows money to be set aside for a person with a disability. The trust helps to preserve funds for this person, enhances their quality of life, and protects their eligibility for public benefits such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income.

Eileen Lee Breger discussed the estate planning process and special needs trusts at The Carroll Center for the Blind’s October 9 webinar and highlighted how they can help individuals plan for the future.

What Attendees Learned

  • The different components of an estate plan
  • The various types of special needs trusts
