Litigator Tom Scannell Joins Bowditch as Partner

Worcester, Framingham and Boston, MA – December 5, 2024 – Tom Scannell, an attorney with extensive litigation, trial, arbitration, and mediation experience, has joined Bowditch & Dewey as a partner.  

Scannell has a broad litigation practice and handles a variety of commercial and business disputes. Adept at all aspects of civil trial work, he often handles commercial and real estate disputes, commercial lease disputes, business and construction litigation, and insurance claims.  

His addition will bolster Bowditch’s strong litigation capabilities, which include commercial, business, real estate, construction, and employment matters.

Scannell, who has practiced law in the Worcester area for 38 years, started his career at Bowditch. A member of the Worcester County Bar Association, he has served on various Worcester area boards, including the March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity and the Children’s Dyslexia Center’s board of governors. He was a longtime conciliator for the Worcester District Court.  

A graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Scannell received his bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross.
