Worcester Business Journal quotes AiVi Nguyen in “Worcester seeks to diversify city workforce”
The city of Worcester is looking to create a more diverse workforce, and attorney AiVi Nguyen, a member of the Diversity & Inclusion committee, is part of the process.
The committee is reviewing Worcester’s affirmative action plan, and in so doing has found the 1996 document is severely dated.
Says AiVi in the article:
Times have changed, and the city’s new policy aims to match the diversity of Worcester employees to that of its 186,000 residents.
“We all feel that this was the right thing to do,” AiVi Nguyen, a Worcester resident and lawyer at Bowditch & Dewey who serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, said of a years-long process to update the city’s policies on hiring a diverse workforce.
