Katie Calo and Mark Borenstein Re-Elected to Worcester County Bar Association’s Executive Committee
The Worcester County Bar Association (WCBA) has re-elected Mark Borenstein and Katie Calo to their Executive Committee. In this position, they work in conjunction with the president and participate in all decision-making. In addition, they serve on ad hoc committees to address pressing issues the organization is facing.
Katie has been a part of the WCBA for the past 10 years and states that is a nice organization to be a part of and it has a lot to offer its members. Mark has been a part of the organization since 2014, and through the WCBA has made lifelong friendships and has become much more involved in the legal community. The WCBA provides unique opportunities to grow professionally and being a part of the executive committee is a way to give back to the organization that has given so much.
Both want to see the organization grow. In addition, Mark has been planning a trip for the WCBA members to go to Washington D.C. next summer to be admitted to the Supreme Court. Katie hopes to see the return of events that they have held previously, or at least see programs continue virtually.
In addition to congratulating Mark and Katie on being re-elected to the Executive Committee, we want to congratulate Lynette Paczkowski for completing seven years on the WCBA Executive Committee. Lynette has held the positions of member, President-elect, President, and Past President. As president, Lynette developed a strategic plan for the WCBA to assist with the growth of the organization. She was described as having a high level of professionalism, commitment, and was an inclusive leader.
The Worcester County Bar Association was founded in 1887 and now has over 1,000 members. Their purpose is to, “maintain the honor of the profession, to promote the administration of justice, to advance the science of jurisprudence, to promote legal education and to foster and encourage cooperation and good fellowship among the members of the bar.”
