Chelsie Vokes Quoted in Worcester Business Journal’s “The shecession: COVID’s impact on the female workforce could cost trillions in GDP”
The pandemic has disproportionately hit female workers harder than male workers, thus coining the nickname “the shecession.” The goal now is to try and get these women back into the workforce. The Worcester Business Journal spoke with Chelsie Vokes about how to help women get back to work.
Some local companies have instituted new flexible hours or remote work policies, neither step of which is costly, said Chelsie Vokes, a labor attorney for the Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey.
