Mark Borenstein Featured in Worcester Telegram’s “Planning Board OKs continuing care retirement community proposal for former SPM site”
A definitive site plan has been approved for the continuing care retirement community to be built on the former St. Peter-Marian Junior/Senior High School site. The facility will be a three-story multi-winged building with 145 units. The facility will also offer a variety of amenities including on-site dining, daily activities, access to third-party medical care, and an outdoor gathering area. The Worcester Telegram spoke with Mark Borenstein about the project and what the facility plans to offer.
Borenstein said the project meets all the requirements regarding definitions and intent laid out in the zoning ordinance regarding continuing care retirement communities. He said the facility will offer on-site dining, access to transportation, a licensed social worker, access to third-party medical care, respite care, daily activities, a resident director, and other amenities.
