Boston Globe quotes Mike Angelini in “Looking for Quiet? Worcester Airport Might be the Place”
Mike Angelini was quoted in a Boston Globe article on March 11 examining the growth potential of Worcester Airport. Although distance from Boston and location relative to major roadways present challenges to the airport, state government continues to recognize the hub’s potential as a cost-efficient alternative to Logan Airport. Last fall, several government entities, including the state, Massachusetts Port Authority and Federal Aviation Administration financed the construction of both a new airplane taxiway and landing system. The two projects, which totaled almost $33 million, will encourage airlines to utilize the airport’s terminals. As Chairman of the Massachusetts Port Authority, Mike Angelini expects the number of flights to and from Worcester Airport to rise as Logan Airport’s traffic approaches a maximum.
