Press Release: Brigid Harrington and Danielle Jurema Lederman Elected to Partner at Bowditch
Worcester, Framingham and Boston, MA — January 5, 2024 — Brigid Harrington and Danielle Jurema Lederman, two accomplished attorneys, were elected to partner at Bowditch & Dewey.
Harrington, a higher education and employment attorney, helps colleges and universities with a range of issues, including crisis management, policy drafting, and civil rights compliance. She conducts Title IX and other internal investigations and trains faculty, staff, and students on such issues. She also is editor of the firm’s Campus Counsel blog.
Before joining Bowditch, Harrington was the Director of Civil Rights at the University of Massachusetts and a member of Harvard University’s Office for Dispute Resolution. She has embraced private practice and flourished at Bowditch, bringing her expertise in an important area of the law, and serving as a stellar mentor to junior lawyers at the firm.
Harrington volunteers at the Rian Immigration Center and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. She earned her J.D. from Boston College and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Lederman, a lawyer in the firm’s employment and labor practice area, is an experienced trial attorney and has successfully litigated a wide range of employment matters. She represents employers in all stages of mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
Clients appreciate Lederman’s practical advice and her extraordinary responsiveness. She advises employers in a wide array of labor and employment matters, including hiring, employee classification, discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour laws, and terminations.
Lederman chairs Bowditch’s Women’s Initiative and is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Network Advisory Board. Repeatedly honored as a Super Lawyers rising star, she also was cited in Best Lawyers in America in 2023 and 2024 for her work in litigation. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University and B.A. from the University of Florida.
