Catherine Spanu Moderated Massachusetts Bar Association Program “Reframing Parentage: An Overview of Changes Coming to G. L. c. 209C”
Effective January 1, 2025, Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 209C has been significantly revised and updated to better represent the many ways in which people become parents, including not only unmarried parents but also parents using assisted reproduction, including LGBTQ parents.
On September 24, 2024, Catherine Spanu moderated a panel discussion at the Massachusetts Bar Association that provided a general overview of the changes that are coming to c. 209C and how these changes will impact family law practitioners.
