Peter Martin and Brigid Harrington Presented at Massachusetts Nonprofit Network’s “Building the Future” Conference

The 2024 Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) Conference “Building the Future” highlighted nonprofit professionals doing extraordinary work across the Commonwealth and provided opportunities to form connections with other nonprofit leaders.

At the conference, Peter Martin presented “Free Your Restricted Funds!” Peter discussed the laborious process of modifying or lifting restrictions on charitable funds including donations, loans and grants, and whether it is worth it.

Brigid Harrington, an MNN Conference Expert Roundtable Presenter, spoke at the roundtable “DEI Initiatives Done Right,” which focused on ways an organization can create positive cultural change, and proactively address systemic issues before they result in complaints of discrimination. Brigid covered strategies for administering DEI initiatives, such as employee surveys, climate interventions, and interest groups, in a way that maximizes the benefit but limits the risk to an organization.
