Banker & Tradesman Publishes “Bill To Revise Delinquent Property Tax Collection Is A Lose-Lose” by Donna Truex and Gemma Ypparila
Banker & Tradesman has published an article expanding on this previous post by Donna Truex and Gemma Ypparila offering insight on Massachusetts Senate Bill 1463, which would restrain municipalities from assigning tax liens associated with delinquent property taxes to private parties. The pending bill would diminish incentives for third parties to purchase the tax titles from municipalities, leaving cities and towns with no way to recoup lost property taxes.
