Katherine Garrahan quoted in The MetroWest Daily News’ “Municipalities seek to help restaurants with outdoor dining options”
As the state moves into Phase II of its reopening plan, many communities are trying to find ways to help their local restaurants. One way to do so is to review and approve of temporarily licenses for outdoor dining. The MetroWest Daily News spoke with Katherine Garrahan on this matter:
Communities know their applicants best, Garrahan said, so it shouldn’t be a problem for restaurants that already have an alcohol license to get temporary approval to serve drinks outdoors. Normally, the process gets bogged down going through the state’s Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission.
