The Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) has published “Municipal adaptations, collaborations are key to community resilience” written by Katherine Garrahan. COVID-19 has changed the way we go about our lives drastically, and how we conduct business is no different. We saw communities work together to help their local businesses adapt to new regulations so they could reopen.
Communities undertook a variety of actions, including outreach to small restaurants, provision of translation services and technical support for completing applications, scheduling extra opportunities for applications through more frequent licensing meetings, and, in some cases, allowing changes to be handled administratively.
