Brewers Association Diversity Grants Support Diverse, Inclusive Craft Beer Events
The Brewers Association launched a diversity and inclusion grant program in early 2019, which supports local and regional events that promote and foster a more diverse, inclusive craft beer community. The Brewers Association gives funding priority to events that increase access and awareness of craft beer to new demographics, while cultivating an inclusive environment.
Mass Bay Brewing Company, which brews Harpoon and other craft beers, was one of six companies out of more than 50 applicants to be given one of the first Brewers Association’s diversity and inclusion grants.
Mass Bay plans to use the grant to promote diversity and inclusion, both across the company and the craft brewing industry. First up: A Harpoon Craft Beer Employment Fair, which will be held in fall 2019.
