Tom Scannell is a staunch advocate who focuses on delivering successful, prompt and efficient results. He has extensive trial, arbitration and mediation experience and a broad litigation practice in which he handles a variety of commercial disputes. Tom focuses on all aspects of civil trial practice and litigation before state and federal courts in Massachusetts, including before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court, with an emphasis on business and construction disputes, commercial real estate disputes, including landlord and tenant issues, and insurance defense.
Before Bowditch
Tom has been practicing law in the Worcester area for more than 38 years. He handled commercial, personal, and business litigation matters for clients during seventeen years at Bowditch from 1986 to 2003. He continued to handle all aspects of civil trial practice throughout his career and before rejoining Bowditch’s Worcester litigation practice in 2024.
Besides work
Tom is a lifelong Worcester resident. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing and fitness training.
